What is a Portable Planetarium ?

It is a portable display system, versatile, educational and a multidisciplinary environment, designed especially for developing countries.

It is more than a common Portable Planetarium. It is ideal for significant educational activities, that can be presented in any covered space larger than 6 m wide and 3 m high -20x10 ft.

A Portable Planetarium is expensive ?

It is a low-cost Portable Planetarium.

Until now, all portable teaching systems have been too expensive for developing countries and even in USA, Canada, Europe and in Japan.

Portable Planetariums has developed an accesible option.

We have seen the frustration experienced by who cannot afford high priced educational systems.

What are the components?

Basically with a durable portable optical mechanical projector for projection of images on cylinders, cubes or spheroids that contain any selection of educational images and an inflatable dome, serving as semi-spherical screen and light proof dark place where the students and visiting public sit on the floor to enjoy the presentations.

The inflatable dome is made with an anti-flame grey-silvered and very strong fabric with carry-in handbag.

There are 2 Dome models:

Narod 55 and Narod 55-T.

Narod 55 Dome is very resistant With 39 kilos and 5.5 meters on diameter and 3.8 in high) creates a complete dark portable classroom enviroment with its' inside perfect reflective surfaces for beautiful projections!

It has an air entrance tunnel for constant fresh air circulation and an air return tunnel. Also has a 1,70 direct person entrance, without tunnel

Narod Dome 55-T is provided with a person entrance tunnel of 1,40 meters on diameter.

There are 2 kind of Projectors: Vostok (Double Plate) and Sputnik (Single Plate).

Double Plate is a revolutionary concept in portable planetarium projections. Double Plate can show alternatively 2 different image groups, without break the "magic" into the dome changing the cylinders.

The interchangeable projection cylinders are made with impression films and built on acrylic supports.

Cylinders are the "visual soul" of the Portable Planetarium, since they cover many scientific and educational topics as diverse as astronomy, paleontology, geology, etc with wonderful images inside the dome.

There are different options ?

Yes. We have basically 2 options.

Both can change in accordance with the elected Dome or Projector.

Basic option: Composed by a Dome (Narod 55 or Narod 55-T), Projector (sputnik or Vostok), two cylinders to choose and a complete operative manual.

Advanced option: Composed by a Dome Narod 55-T, Projector Vostok, 2 cylinders to choose, music and voice, wireless microphone, portable cd-room, Dome inflatation Tubinne, 3 fans of high potency for internnal refrigeration, laser as pointer, 2 slide sets of Solar System and Universe, Ambiental CD Music, complete operating manual and optional trainning with a personal trainner.

There is a waiting time to receive de equipments?

Of course not. We work under permanent stock condition and it is our big differences with others competitor companies.

What about the Maintenance ?

Another affordable fundamental concept of our product is that it does not require specialized service and maintenance.

It is built of parts and materials that are easy to get in all the world.

Voltage?

WATS is available for 220 VAC - 50hz and for 110VAC - 60hz.

What is the space required?

A minimum space inside a building and larger than 6 meters wide and 3 meters high is required (is not for outdoor use).

What is the seating capacity?

A Narod Dome can seat confortably , on the average, 60 children.

Compatibility?

Our equipments are compatible with almost all similar systems on the market and it can be integrated with components of other makes.

Can be acquired some components independently of the versions?

Yes, of course. You can buy the components separately and even mix them with components of other marks, because Planetary Portable is compatible with almost all the marks.

Can be acquired other cylinders?

Yes, of course.

What operative difference is there between a Dome with Tunnel and other without?

None. Nevertheless, from the operative point of view and of serviceability, on having produced it, in our oppinion is better without tunnel.

The Tunnel adds "fantasy" to the set and adds for the children who enter in.

There is no another advantage in the possession of tunnel.
